Planning for Adult Life (PFAL)'s purpose is to get individuals, their families and support network prepared for the transition into adulthood. Whether it's navigating the shift from school to adult services, the nuances of SSI and Medicaid , exploring the different approaches to employment or post-secondary education, how to advocate for yourself, or developing the necessary skills for an independent adult life, PFAL's mission is to get the whole team on the same page and provide information and resources by making it as accessible as possible.
We have our team go out into the field to present workshops for parents, teachers and students to help inform about the transition planning process and how to best prepare everyone involved for this next chapter. Our team also provides webinars related to transition topics, ready-to-use school and home curriculum, weekly office hours, and a website with a plethora of information.
