Teacher Lab

PFAL's Teacher Lab was developed by our team to be a resource for transition programs and classrooms throughout the state. The purpose of the curriculum is to utilize it with students to help them understand the transition planning process, including their IEP, the options they have once they leave high school and how to prepare for them, and the skills they'll need to develop to be independent in adult life.

The curriculum is broken down into four pillars:

  1. Planning: The ins and out of transition planning
  2. Earning: Gaining & maintaining employment, handling money
  3. Learning: Post-secondary education
  4. Thriving: Life skills needed to live safely, happily, and healthily

Each pillar comes with ready-to-use PowerPoint slides with corresponding worksheets, activities, and role plays to implement in the classroom.
