Sharon Levine, Director of Governmental Affairs and Communications at The Arc of New Jersey, will review the ways that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families can advocate with elected officials on the local, state, and federal levels. The presentation will illustrate the reasons why advocacy is so important, how to connect with lawmakers, tips for how to have the biggest impact, and more. In addition, the webinar will highlight online resources you can use to identify who represents you on a state and federal level, as well as how to connect with your representatives through traditional means and via social media platforms.
